The EMG Symphony Orchestra has been fortunate to feature some of the very best young soloists playing today.
We are proud to have successfully engaged Thomas Gould to play in a future concert. Details will be announced in due course.
Born in London in 1983, Thomas Gould began violin lessons at the age of three. At eighteen he entered the Royal Academy of Music on a scholarship where his principal teacher was György Pauk. In 2008/9, Thomas makes his Barbican, Bridgewater Hall and Royal Albert Hall debuts as soloist in Vaughan Williams’s The Lark Ascending. He also maintains a strong profile in London’s orchestral life as leader of Aurora Orchestra and Manning Camerata, and co-leader of Britten Sinfonia.
After the interval, we were treated to a flawless rendering of Vaughan Williams’ The Lark Ascending. Violinist Thomas Gould’s stunning interpretation brought the audience to its feet.
