The original Exeter Music Group was founded in 1967 and over the past forty years has grown to the full-scale symphony orchestra that exists today.

EMGSO provides musicians with the opportunity to perform a wide variety of repertoire, working with talented soloists and local choral societies, as well as professional conductors and music tutors.

We perform at venues in and around Exeter, including the University Great Hall and Exeter Cathedral.

About the EMG

The Orchestra rehearses on Thursday evenings throughout the year. Subscriptions are very reasonable and membership is open to all ages.
